Yasmin Scappin has been an Acupuncturist for over 20 years, treating clients both in Australia and internationally. After completing a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) in 2003, and several years of clinical experience, Yasmin completed a Master of Health Science (Traditional Chinese Medicine) in 2016.

 

Her passion for pain management, stroke rehabilitation and women’s health grew and she wanted to see what physiotherapy had to offer in these areas. Yasmin then studied a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) in Rockhampton, during which she continued to offer acupuncture services, treating many rural and regional clients.

 

Later on, Yasmin returned to Brisbane for placements in hospitals where she gained experience in neurological (nerve, brain, stroke, etc), orthopaedic, (hip, knee shoulder replacement), cardiovascular (heart), women’s health, Musculoskeletal and Sports physiotherapy. She graduated in 2020 with Honours. Yasmin has an extensive knowledge in headache and migraine management, general pain
management, stroke management and post operative care. She is also passionate about and highly skilled in all aspects of Women’s Health including fertility and pregnancy care.

Yasmin approaches every client with her unique skill set, being able to offer a combination of the most up to date research with treatments that have worked for thousands of years. She is also a qualified Reformer Pilates instructor who believes improved movement and function will increase quality of life.
